About the speaker
Jan Holthuis
Mr Jan Holthuis, partner at Buren N.V. is an experienced advisor in China-related cross-border M&A , international litigation and intellectual property related disputes. Jan is active in the China legal practice since 1995 and predominantly living and working in China.
Jan is a Dutch qualified lawyer and a solicitor registered with the Law Society of England & Wales. He is a visiting lecturer at Erasmus University (Chinese commercial and corporate law and practice), Wageningen University (Chinese agricultural law and practice) and East China University of Politics and Law in Shanghai (Intellectual Property dispute settlement & technology transfers). Jan is also a registered arbitrator at the China International Economic Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and at the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (SHAIC) / Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SIAC).
Jan holds various positions at multinational companies operating in China and Europe and is involved in China strategy decision-making processes.
