FCCC organizes breakfast meeting on opportunities in Chongqing

The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce (FCCC) and the Chongqing chapter of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT-Chongqing) jointly organized a Belgium-China Business Forum breakfast meeting at the Intercontinental Hotel in Chongqing on October 26 during the trade mission headed by HRH Prince Philippe. Theme of the breakfast meeting was “Opportunities for cooperation between Belgium and Chongqing”. The meeting was chaired by Baron Paul Buysse, Chairman of the Board of Bekaert and Honorary Citizen of Chongqing, and attended by HRH Prince Philippe, Minister of State Annemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck, Belgian Ambassador to China Patrick Nijs, Vice Chairman Mr Sun Shenlin and 58 other officials, Chinese and Belgian CEO’s. Following introductory remarks by Baron Buysse, Minister of State Neyts highlighted the favorable conditions and policies for foreign investors in Belgium. Besides the table of honor, five tables were chaired respectively by Mark Goyens (Bekaert), Luc Maton (Ahlers), Luc Arnouts (Port of Antwerp), and Christine Broux (Flanders Cleantech Association). Participants to the breakfast discussed how the Belgian investment climate was perceived in China and how it could be improved.
The breakfast meeting was organized with the support of the Federal Government of Belgium, the Belgian Federal Trade Agency, Flanders Investment & Trade, the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency, and Brussels Invest& Export.
