AppliTek opens offices in China

AppliTek, based in the industrial zone de Prijkels in Nazareth, has opened its offices in Beijing and Shanghai. An opening ceremony was held on February 18 in Nazareth. AppliTek develops and manufactures analytical instruments and monitoring systems for environment applications such as potable water, river water and waste water. More information is available at the company’s website www.applitek.com The company experienced a fast development in the past years and received several awards, including for innovation and entrepreneurship. As the number of its projects in China – mainly monitoring of rivers – is on the increase, AppliTek recently set up a joint venture with a Chinese partner and thereby acquired offices and a permanent representation in Beijing and Shanghai under the name of SinoAppliTek. Development and production will remain completely in Belgium. In China, AppliTek has a permanent team for sales and technical after-sales for its customers in about 20 provinces, at first coordinated in Beijing and Shanghai, and later this year also in Chengdu and Chongqing. In February, a team of Chinese experts received training at AppliTek in Nazareth.
