The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce and Flanders Investment & Trade are organizing an information session focused on managing international assignments in the context of the Covid crisis and profound changes of the working patterns due to the pandemic.
This event will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday 19 November 2020.
Ms. Joke Braam, Senior Manager and Ms. Rimma Abadjan, Assistant Manager, Deloitte, will share their insights on the impact of Covid pandemic on immigration and international social security. They will highlight the complexities that companies are facing in view of assignment planning, business visits as well as travel arrangements and provide the audience with insights on better management of anticipated work force needs. Furthermore, they will focus on practicalities linked to the EU ICT permit scheme, which will be finally introduced in Belgium and will allow intra-EU mobility rights for intra-corporate transferees.
Mr. Dieter Kuipers, Senior Manager and Mr. Steven Trippaers, Manager, Deloitte, will share their insights on managing new working scenarios, like virtual assignments and remote workers, which warrant looking at the exposures and challenges that companies will be facing in this respect. They will also zoom in on how companies can implement strategies to assess the risk exposure and impact on both the business and the employees across locations as well as on the tracking of regulatory updates applicable on the remote working population.

The EU-China Business Association is organizing a webinar focusing on the importance of co-operation between the EU and China in the field of research and science and how this can support economic recovery. The webinar will take place online on 14 October from 10.00 am till 11.15 am CEST.
A series of experts from industry and official institutions will share their views and experiences on EU-China R&D cooperation.
